Today is the last day to become a New York Road Runners member to qualify to do the 9+1 for the 2012 marathon.  This means if you run 9 NYRR races and volunteer for 1 by the end of 2011, you automatically qualify for the 2012 New York City Marathon.  I am very excited to say, besides Josh, I now have 3 friends who have also signed up and are going to attempt to qualify with me.  I’m not saying any of us MUST run the marathon, but it will be nice to have the option.  I have already put race #1 of the year behind me (I didn’t actually run because there was snow but got credit anyway).  Race #2 is this coming Sunday.  If anyone else is going for the 9+1 this year let me know so we can all be race buddies together!
